At first glance you might not even notice the unassuming white house, sitting atop a hill in the mountains above Negril's historic seven-mile beach. But once inside the front door, you realize that this could only be Jannetta’s @Whimhill Bed and Breakfast.
The six guestroom private home offers guests an upscale, authentic Jamaican experience in a home-away-from-home setting. Rent a room, the private basement apartment, or the entire house with three private verandas, and a gourmet kitchen with all the amenities.
From the moment you enter the French doors, you will be greeted by luxurious, antique furniture while the sparkle of crystal and silver on nearby tables hints at pleasures to come. Wherever you look fragrant flowers, richly layered fabrics and linens, plush sofas, hand-crafted wooden ceilings form a bewitching backdrop for the owner’s superb collection of art and antiques.
Breakfast is served in the light–filled Terrace Room or on one of the private verandas. Should you wish to take to the seaside for lunch, the staff will offer transportation and suggest a scenic route to some of the most spectacular scenery on the island. Attention to detail will clearly be the hallmark of this magical place.
